According to The Sun: Sheryl divorced Jay in 2008 after eight years of marriage. The events were also compounded by a stroke the actress suffered in May of the same year. She spoke about the painful moments during her recovery when she lost the ability to control her body and movements. This experience was very frightening for her, however, she gradually recovered after the divorce and illness.
