Ed Sheeran explained his move to the USA: what the singer actually said.
Ed Sheeran on his move to the USA
According to The Sun: Ed Sheeran clarified the situation regarding his move to the USA, confirming that it will not be permanent.
The popular 34-year-old singer surprised his fans when he announced last month his plans to move to America with his wife Cherry Seaborn and their daughters, Lyra (5 years) and Jupiter (3 years), ahead of his tour.

The singer's explanation
In an interview on the 2 Johnnies podcast, he said:
“I’m just going to move to America. I feel like I might be the only one moving to America. I’m going on tour for a while and I have a family, so I can’t just visit.”
However, Ed clarified that he would return to his home in Sussex, which is worth £3.7 million, after the tour ends. He wrote on Instagram:
“It’s easier to explain everything here, so I’m clearing things up because the press is trying to push the narrative that people want to leave the UK for some reason. I am not moving; I’m going on tour with my family and moving to the continent where I’m touring.”
Ed Sheeran's residence
Ed has not yet announced the dates for his tour in the USA, but he has already scheduled a series of concerts in the UK in December, after which he will head to stadiums in Australia and New Zealand in the new year.
His large property in Sussex consists of several houses and features a swimming pool, a two-story wooden treehouse, and a pub.

Property records show that Ed purchased his main house — a detached farmhouse and surrounding land — for £895,000 in June 2012.
Ed stated:
“People always look at my lifestyle and think it’s a bit weird, but I believe that having a place where you can relax, sitting carefreely with friends without worrying about everything being filmed — that’s important.”
On the road, Ed won't be able to attend matches of his favorite team Ipswich Town, in which he has a stake, so he will find it difficult to be present at the club's matches.
The singer has previously expressed his desire to transition to country music and possibly move to the USA. He said:
“When you switch to country, you can’t go back. Nashville is my favorite city in the USA, and I’ve always dreamed of moving to Nashville and transitioning to country.”
So, Ed Sheeran plans to continue traveling with his family, but his connection to Britain remains strong. For now, nothing is known about the specific dates of his concerts in the USA, but fans can expect their favorite artist to return to the stage in his home country soon and then across the ocean.
