Divorce and New Relationships
In the final days of their marriage, Priscilla admitted that she began a romance with her karate instructor, Mike Stone.
Shortly after, in 1972, she decided to end her marriage to Elvis, whom she said was continually tormented by “loneliness, isolation, jealousy, and guilt.”
Elvis was “furious and humiliated” to learn about their relationship, she claims.
“Elvis found the thought of me with another man unbearable,” Priscilla wrote, adding that he turned to his aide Joe Esposito and other members of his circle for help.
Priscilla also notes that “in the weeks after my departure, he told the guys that Mike had to die. He even asked Joe to find a hitman.”
After that, Joe advised her to “be careful” and stay away from her ex-husband, although Elvis eventually calmed down and gave up his murder plans.
Priscilla dated Mike for another three years, and their relationship ended in 1975. Elvis died just two years later, in 1977, at the age of 42.
After the divorce, she also had relationships with Kim Kardashian's father, Robert, and Marco Garibaldi, the father of her son Navarone, who is 38 years old.
With Elvis, Priscilla has a late daughter, Lisa Marie, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 54 due to small intestine obstruction.
In 2020, Priscilla lost her grandson Ben Keough to suicide at the age of 27.
The Bitterness of Loss
Priscilla described the pain of losing her daughter in her autobiography, which will be released on September 23.
“I knew from the first moment I walked into Lisa's room that she was gone,” Priscilla wrote in an excerpt obtained by journalists.
“She was connected to a machine providing her breath, and there was a heartbeat. But the brain activity was minimal. Her spirit, always so vibrant, was not present.”
“I asked the doctor, 'What kind of life will she have if we keep her on this machine?'”
The doctor replied: “She has no quality of life.”
“I thought of my girl, my wild, rebellious, passionate girl, who lay in a vegetative state her whole life.”
“I said what I had to. 'Turn her off the machine, doctor.' My voice was barely audible.”
She recalls collapsing from the pain when Lisa Marie was taken off the machine.
“It was unbearable. I started sobbing. I don't remember how I fell. I know that Ivy (Priscilla's cousin) caught me.”
“After that, everything went dark. I can't remember. I don't want to remember.”
