Today she shared an emotional video with her followers that appeared after a visit to the optician.

In the video, Myleene explained the reason for her tears: “It is a combination of trying contact lenses, I just went to the optician and broke down when I was asked how many children I have and their ages. I just said, ‘Well, three, but my 18-year-old daughter is going to university in a few days.’ I literally flooded it with tears, which was not great during the fitting of the lenses.”

Myleene has two daughters: Ava (18) and Hero (14) from her ex-husband Graham Quinn, and a three-year-old son, Apollo, with her fiancé Simon Motson.

The radio and television host reached out to her followers asking how they cope with their child's departure.

“Moms, how do you handle this? How do you say goodbye to your first love? Is this what I will be doing for three years?”

She acknowledged that she wants Ava to go to university, but it is simultaneously very hard for her. “How am I going to take her there and drive back home? I guess I will have to stop and cry at a gas station.”

Reflecting on her feelings, Myleene said she feels “mad,” adding: “But my heart is about to burst out of the door.”

“I promise I’m okay, but organizing a list of things for her room and hugging them individually is bittersweet.”

This emotional moment happened just days after she faced criticism from people calling her children “privileged.”

Gifted Ava received high grades in school this summer and secured a place at the Royal Academy of Music.

“She (Ava) practices the piano for eight hours a day, applied to the Royal Academy of Music, she had to take an exam, they didn’t just say ‘Myleene Klass’s daughter, give her a spot,’ she really had to pass the exam,”

The moment Myleene shares her feelings about her daughter's departure shows how difficult it is for parents to cope with the changes in their children's lives. It is an important stage in life, accompanied by both joy for achievements and sadness from separation. At the same time, Ava continues on her path, demonstrating that the journey to success requires challenges and efforts, and her mother is proud of her achievements.
