The USA is ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the United States of America is ready to participate in security guarantees for Ukraine, which is considered a historic decision.
'Security guarantees based on our joint efforts must be really practical and provide protection on land, in the sky, and at sea, and they should also be developed with the participation of Europe,'- he noted.
The meeting of the Coalition of Willing in Brussels preceded a meeting in Washington with US President Donald Trump. Zelensky thanked the participants of the meeting for their support of Ukraine's independence and sovereignty, as well as for support in the trilateral format together with the USA and the Russian leader.
The President expressed hope for the cessation of killings as soon as possible and for the formulation of a quick and fair peace agreement. The meeting between Zelensky and Trump is scheduled for August 18. Leaders of the European Union and other countries will take part in it.
Trump also supported the position of the Russian dictator Putin regarding Donbas, wishing for full capture of this territory.
During the meeting in Washington, the presidents of Ukraine and the USA discussed security guarantee issues for Ukraine, thanked the participants of the Coalition of Willing, and agreed on a future meeting with the European Union and other countries.Read also
