Harris could lose if poll results do not change dramatically after the debates with Trump — FT.
Harris needs to do more than just perform well in the debates
Dick Cheney, former Republican vice president, called Trump the greatest threat to America in its history. The last poll before the debates showed a slight advantage for Trump over Harris. In the electoral college system, Harris needs to surpass her competitors, but there is no confirmation yet that she has achieved such an advantage. After replacing Biden on the ticket, Harris received a lot of support, but that enthusiasm is waning. Harris's first TV interview with Wallace showed a lack of confidence. The debates give her a chance to present herself to many voters, but this might be her last opportunity to change the course of the race as no other debates are currently planned. If the poll results do not suddenly change after the debates, Harris is likely to face defeat, and Trump will become the president of the USA again.
