Girl, 15, ‘felt absolutely sick’ after she was ‘sexually assaulted by London’s Burning star alongside second schoolgirl’.
Accusations of Sexual Crimes
According to The Sun: A schoolgirl claimed she “felt absolutely sick” after allegedly being raped by actor John Alford, who became popular for the series 'London’s Burning', alongside a second schoolgirl.
Alford, who also starred in 'Grange Hill', is suspected of attempting to rape two girls under 16 during a party.
The star also appeared in 'London’s Burning'53-year-old John Alford allegedly had sexual intercourse with one of the girls when she was 14 years old, in a garden and a toilet.
Jury members learned that he also had sexual intercourse with another teenager who was 15 at the time, and he was “undoubtedly” sure that both girls, who did not know him before, were minors.
All crimes allegedly took place at the house of a third girl who was friends with the other girls, as reported by the court in St. Albans.
The 15-year-old girl told police that Alford allegedly touched her while she was “drifting off to sleep” after the actor bought both girls alcohol.
“I should note, I felt sick. I felt absolutely awful. I wasn’t going to tell anyone about it.”
After the incident, the girl immediately took a shower when she was dropped off at the house of another victim, as she was “freaking out”.
The girls went to the bathroom together and “discussed everything that happened,” jury heard.
They did not mention the alleged assaults immediately, as they claimed to have already drunk 'quite a bit of vodka'.
However, on April 11, while at another friend's house, the 15-year-old girl decided to express her feelings.
“I had a mental breakdown in my friend's mom's garden, and she called my mom.”
The jury learned that the alleged incidents occurred on April 9, 2022.
Both girls went to a friend's house after visiting a pub where 'a small party' took place, it was noted.
Alford's father was also at the pub with the father of the third girl, at whose house the party took place.
The court heard that he left the house and went to a nearby gas station, returning with a bottle of vodka, cigarettes, and food.
Alford then allegedly asked the younger girl to sit on his lap in the garden, jury heard.
He then allegedly started kissing and touching her before engaging in sexual intercourse.
Later that evening, he allegedly had sexual intercourse with the girl in the toilet, grabbing her and pulling her towards him, according to court data.
“Do you want this, darling?” he allegedly asked, to which the girl purportedly replied “no.”
In her testimony, she stated:
“Most kids, if an adult tells you to do something, you do it... especially if you're drunk or impaired.”
In court, it was reported that Alford denies any sexual intercourse occurred, claiming he told one of the girls “no.”
In his statement to the police, he noted that one of the girls “kept trying to kiss me” and claimed that she was 17 years old.
He added:
“I never touched her sexually.”
Alford also claims that both girls “tried to extort money” from him and attempted to deceive him.
The actor, who was born in Glasgow, gained popularity as a teenager for his role as Robbie Wright in 'Grange Hill'.
He played this role in the cult BBC show for five years alongside Simon Hayams and George Christopher and participated in the anti-drug single 'Just Say No'.
Between 1993 and 1998, Alford appeared in the long-running drama 'London’s Burning' as Billy Ray.
He also had roles in the film 'Mike Bassett: England Manager', 'Casualty', and the British movie 'The Hatton Garden Job'.
Alford also had a brief pop career, releasing three singles that reached the UK Top 30.

The reported events underline serious allegations that may have significant implications for John Alford's career. The case is being heard by the court in St. Albans, and further hearings may reveal more details about this situation.
These allegations also highlight the importance of discussing the topic of sexual violence, especially regarding minors. Victim feedback and the impact on society remain serious issues that require attention and action from all involved in the process.
