Google published new images showing the location of Ukrainian military systems

Google published updated satellite images showing the location of Ukrainian military systems. Later, the company promised to rectify this situation. This was reported in Telegram by the head of the Counter Disinformation Center (CDC) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko.

“Imagine the situation. Google releases updated images on the maps that reveal the location of our military systems (I will not specify)”, he wrote.

According to Kovalenko, Ukraine contacted Google to rectify the situation, as enemy public platforms had already begun actively disseminating these images.

Later, the head of CDC stated that only after a public reaction did representatives of Google contact the Ukrainian side. The company reported that they are already working on resolving the situation with the images of our military systems' placement. There will also be discussions on how to address any issues promptly in the future.
