Pope Francis Appointed New Bishop of Kamianets-Podilskyi for the Roman Catholic Church.
The government of Pope Francis appointed a new ruling bishop for the Kamianets-Podilskyi diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine.
Edward Kava became the successor to Bishop Leon Dubrawski, who led this diocese since 2002. Bishop Edward previously served as the auxiliary bishop of the Lviv Archdiocese.
Edward Kava was born on April 17, 1978, in Mostyska, Lviv region, and joined the Order of Friars Minor Conventual in 1996. After his appointment as auxiliary bishop of the Lviv Archdiocese, he received episcopal ordination on June 21, 2017.
The new ruling bishop for the Kamianets-Podilskyi diocese is Edward Kava, who previously served as the auxiliary bishop of the Lviv Archdiocese. This appointment allows the bishop to continue his ministry in the new place chosen for him and to help develop the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine.
The government of Pope Francis has confirmed the appointment of the new ruling bishop for the Kamianets-Podilskyi diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine — Edward Kava, who will be able to continue his ministry and assist in the development of church life in the region.
