Gordon Ramsay announced that he had skin cancer removed

According to The Sun: Gordon Ramsay, the famous chef who will soon celebrate his 58th birthday, shared with his fans the news of the removal of skin cancer from his face.

On his Instagram page, he revealed that he was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma — the most common type of this disease.

He posted a photo with stitches under his ear and wrote:

“I am grateful and greatly appreciate the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their quick response to the removal of this basal cell carcinoma, thank you!”

Ramsay also urged everyone not to forget about sunscreen:

“Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend. I promise it’s not a facelift! I would need a refund...”

According to data from the Mayo Clinic, basal cell carcinoma most often appears on skin areas that are exposed to sunlight, particularly on the face.

Support from fans and new projects

Gordon, the father of six children, often gathers supporters by cycling and competing in endurance races. Fans were glad to hear that he is doing well. One commenter wrote:

“We are glad that you are okay, Chef Ramsay!”

Another added:

“Oh man... I hope you recover quickly.”

Tomorrow Gordon may appear on screens again — the popular show 'Hell’s Kitchen' plans to return next year, and the chef may open restaurants under the same name as in the USA.
