Throughout his career, Brown won a Grammy for Ludacris's album 'Release Therapy', which was released in 2006.

He also worked on the song 'Shut It Down' from Drake's debut album 'Thank Me Later'.

In the U.S., over 440,000 copies of 'Thank Me Later' were sold in the first week.

Brown also received producer credits for Beyoncé's track 'Mine', which also featured Drake.

Nicole organized tributes in honor of the musician.

She described him as her “cartoon friend” and noted that he would have loved the performance of 'Severance' at the Emmy Awards.

“We constantly watched this and discussed it,” Nicole said.

The bar where Brown worked – Barawine Harlem – also paid tribute to him on social media.

“With great sadness and shock, we learned of the death of our dear friend Omen Sidney Brown,” the company stated.

“Omen was part of the Barawine team for over ten years, bringing his unique talent to everyone.”

Musician Dina Regine mentioned that Brown's death “hurts like hell.”

“DJ Omen (Sidney 'Omen' Brown) was not only a great DJ but also an award-winning producer who worked with Beyoncé, Drake, Ludacris, and Lil Wayne,” she added.

“He won a Grammy for his work. But to us, he was family, the sweetest and most humble man. Everyone adored him.”

Regine also recalled that they worked on tracks together.

“Rest easy, my friend, we will finish these songs on the other side one day,” she added in her tribute.
