Harry Styles faces opposition from neighbors regarding luxury mansion construction plans

According to The Sun: Harry Styles, former member of One Direction, has found himself at the center of a dispute with neighbors over his intention to build a luxury mansion in Hampstead, North London. Residents are concerned that their homes may lose natural light.

Construction Plans

The project application submitted to the council proposes the creation of a massive bedroom with four wardrobes, a gallery, a living room, and a TV room, as well as an underground cinema, swimming pool, sauna, gym, and beautiful garden.

After news spread about the purchase of a fourth house on the same street, neighbors expressed concerns that the new project could be 'a bit intrusive and cause loss of light'. One neighbor noted:

“It’s sad to live next to a construction site all the time.”

Disputes with Neighbors

Several neighbors have filed complaints to the council, claiming that their rights to natural light may be 'violated'.

“My client is also deeply concerned about their legal rights to light, which may be infringed as a result of this project or similar projects,”

— says a letter from the claimants' representatives.

According to reports, Styles bought his first house for £8.8 million in April 2019, then purchased a neighboring property for £4.175 million, followed by another last year before buying the fourth.

Future of Construction

The singer received permission for renovations in April, provided an environment for wildlife, including boxes for hedgehogs and bats, is created. Recently, additional plans for adjustments to parts of the project were submitted.

“The proposed project has been carefully prepared to restore the building as one of Hampstead's great renewing buildings,”

— said his representatives in accompanying documents.

The Telegraph reports that Styles hopes to complete the plans by October 2027.

Sources report:

“Harry provides Ed with competition in their property in the Northern Valley.”

The third investment remains unused, but that house is not yet utilized.
