Dismissal of Avram Grant from the position of head coach of the Zambia national team
According to The Sun: Former Chelsea coach Avram Grant has left the position of head coach of the Zambia national team after the team's unsuccessful performance, which failed to qualify for the final stage of the World Cup.
Grant, who turned 70 years old, previously led Chelsea to the Champions League final in 2008, as well as to the League Cup final. In addition, he managed Portsmouth and West Ham, but was dismissed from the Hammers after poor results.
“It is important for the team to continue moving forward, and I believe in the new coaches who will try to improve the situation”
Grant's dismissal was the result of prolonged frustrations with the national team's results. The future of the team now depends on the new coach, who will try to find a successful strategy for the upcoming qualifiers. What steps will be taken remains an open question at this time.
