The Reform in Rugby: Leadership Returns to Clubs.
Struggle for Control in Rugby
According to The Sun: Leaders of the rugby league plan to revert to the past regarding management. Peter V'Landys, the head of Australian rugby, expressed the need to establish an independent council to manage the sport in the country. According to SunSport, the initiators of the 'club-based strategic review' also support this idea.
‘We must ensure support for clubs and attract more attention to their needs,’ V'Landys stated.
Currently, discussions are ongoing about the best way to implement these changes to improve sports management in the country.
The proposed innovations could significantly change the rugby landscape in Australia, particularly in terms of supporting clubs and considering their interests. The establishment of an independent council instills hope for more transparent and effective management, which could enhance interest in rugby and attract new fans.
