Estonian Commander: Ukraine and Russia Have Freedom of Action in the Black Sea
The Commander of the Estonian Navy, Ivo Värk, stated that the Russian Federation and Ukraine do not dominate in the Black Sea and can act freely. Both sides are using gas drilling platforms to monitor the maritime situation. Despite the significant benefits of strike drones for Ukraine, their role should not be overestimated, as drone technologies are constantly developing, but they cannot fully replace traditional means of naval warfare. Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War believe that Ukraine is able to control Russia in occupied Crimea through offensive operations in the Black Sea, as the Russian Federation currently has no alternative to capturing Ukrainian naval drones.
