On the night of June 29, there was an attack by Russia on the city of Poltava, as a result of which the local train station was damaged. A representative of Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the station building suffered destruction due to a massive combined enemy attack. Additionally, cars, doors, windows, and roofs of buildings were damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of these events. All trains in the region continue to operate on the usual schedule.Unfortunately, at the same time, Russian occupiers launched massive rocket and drone strikes on various parts of Ukraine, including the east, south, and north of the country. As a result of these attacks, pilot of the 1st class, Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Ustyemenko, was killed. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in his statement, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and called for condemnation of Russian aggression and support in the fight for the territorial integrity of the country.
