Lily Allen leaves BBC podcast: reasons for the singer's abrupt decision.
According to The Sun: Lily Allen has left her podcast on BBC to focus on working on new music.
The singer, who is working on her album, launched the show 'Miss Me?' with her friend Mikita Oliver last year, but announced her decision to leave the project this week.
BBCLily, who recently divorced her husband David Harbour, announced:
“I have news for everyone.”
“The podcast 'Miss Me?' on Monday will be my last for a while, as I plan to step away from the podcast to focus on other things.”
“I need time for reflection.”
“I enjoy it here, and I'm not leaving because I'm upset about something.”
“It's a big commitment each week, and I can't give my all since I have other things to do.”Lily also added:
“I'm not shutting the door forever, I will come back and say hello from time to time.”
This year has been challenging for Lily after her divorce from David, with whom she moved to New York.
However, earlier this year she collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin to finish her upcoming album and prepare to return to pop music.
Lily, who was spotted in New York at the launch of EE72 magazine on Friday, also managed to sell out Hackney Empire with Mikita for two nights in front of a live audience in March.
Discussing the podcast journey, she noted:
“I just loved how we progressed, starting with a few cameras in our living rooms.”
Since the launch of the show 'Miss Me?' with Mikita, Lily has shared several sensational stories, including details of her marriage breakdown.
Her words have also stirred controversy as she admitted not remembering how many abortions she had experienced.
It seems the singer of 'Smile' is happily returning to her musical roots.
