“I'm tired of constant advances - it was relentless, even when it was clear that I wasn't interested”For Ju, the ring sends a silent signal to watchful eyes. “I'm tired of constant advances - it was relentless, even when it was clear that I wasn't interested,” explains Ju, who is currently single. “So I put on a simple ring on my left hand, and it was like pressing the off button. “Even if it’s not real, it deters people from approaching. “It has been working for years. “It’s just open enough to keep people from coming up to me. “The way guys looked at me changed as soon as I started wearing it, and now they think twice before saying anything. “It affected how I am treated in places like gyms or bars.” She recalls one particular moment when the strategy worked perfectly. Ju said: “I was in a pharmacy, and a guy started chatting. “But as soon as he saw the ring, he immediately went silent. “He asked if I was married, I just smiled, and he said: ‘Understood, sorry,’ and left. “It was important, and I kept my cool.”

Ju said: “I still wear it, and it has become part of my routine. “It’s not about deceiving anyone - it's about setting boundaries. “It's a quiet way of saying: ‘I'm not available for this type of conversation.’ “And the interesting thing? It still works.” Although she decided to take a break from wearing the ring a few years ago, it turned out that the attention was not as strong as in previous years - something Ju attributes to dating apps. She said: “Today, men no longer have the initiative they once had. They seem to lack motivation. “Even bad pickup lines that used to annoy me have become rare. Today, everyone is just waiting for a match on a dating app. “No one looks into eyes, no one approaches naturally - and it makes relationships feel emptier and more mechanical.” Nevertheless, she continues to wear the ring to avoid frivolous men. Ju, who is from Brazil, added: “Sometimes they ask if I miss the attention, and honestly? No.” “At least, not for that kind of attention. “I prefer peace; if a man is really interested, he should step beyond the obvious limits. “And if I am interested too, I will simply explain that I’m actually not married. “The ring has become more than just an accessory - it's a filter.Read also
