Difficulties during medical examinations

Brook was diagnosed with terminal ALS in 2022 after a long struggle with unexplained symptoms. She described her recent visits to doctors as 'unsuccessful.'

During an appointment with a neurologist, she noted:

“It was strange,”

the doctor then checked her tongue and confirmed that 'everything was fine.' She also inquired about a lung function test.

“She said, ‘Oh, you don’t need to do that test anymore. Last time you had 27, we usually stop tests after 50,’”

Brook noted.

The realities of living with ALS

Brook received shocking news from the doctor:

“Your prognosis is not good, you are very terminal.”

Currently, her respiratory function is only 12 out of 100.

“I told my friends about it, and I think I scared them all,”
