Ukrainian Women Are Looking for Men at Hyrox Fitness Competitions: Why This Is the New Dating Trend

According to The Sun: Hot, out of breath, and shirtless – this is not how most of us imagine the first meeting with a future partner.

But for women participating in Hyrox – a global fitness competition that has rapidly gained popularity over the last year – this is precisely how they want to meet their partner.

I'm here to find a man from Hyrox – it's a mindset thing, as they tend to be more goal-oriented individuals.

In the absence of a British club scene and growing fatigue from dating apps, thousands of women are attending Hyrox competitions to scout for talent.

Here, they will meet men who have been training for months for this global sporting phenomenon, where participants undergo an exhausting run and a comprehensive workout.

Hyrox competitions include a five-kilometer run, intermediate training stations for exercises such as sled pulls, sandbag lunges, and wall balls.

The competition is a test of strength, endurance, and overall fitness, with the fastest participant winning in each section.

There are categories for single women, same-sex pairs, mixed pairs, and – a happy solution for single female athletes – categories for single men.

These male athletes sweat it out during training on the track – but that's not the only thing heating things up at the sports venues.

This is part of all sports events that have become a kind of speed dating. This is particularly true for Kayla Quinlan, 24, and Alice O'Grady, 26, who arrived at a recent Hyrox competition in Glasgow with bronzer and full makeup in hopes of meeting their soulmate.

I would be happy to meet someone here. There are plenty of potential candidates, and they're men without shirts.

Emily Forbes, 26, a coach from East Kilbride, is also tired of online dating.

And like many others, she would prefer to meet someone at an event like Hyrox because at least she knows they are real.

Complaining that 'dating apps are awful', she said: 'I would be happy to meet someone here. There are plenty of potential candidates, and they're men without shirts.'

Hyrox events have become a sort of speed dating where people looking for companionship come together, tired of online dating, believing there’s a better chance of finding a real partner.
