Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that Iran did not provide ballistic missiles to Russia. He noted that if Europe needs something to calm Israel, it'd be better to find another story. Abbas Araqchi also added that military cooperation between Iran and Russia is not new and has its history even before the start of the war in Ukraine.

Recall, earlier the US claimed that Iran had already sent short-range ballistic missiles to Russia. The "Group of Seven" countries announced the implementation of sanctions against Iran if the country transferred ballistic missiles to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine.

In February, Reuters reported, citing sources, that Iran likely sent Russia hundreds of "ground-to-ground" ballistic missiles. But Iran's representation at the UN denied this information.

Iranian lawmaker Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani also confirmed the transfer of ballistic missiles to Russia, but Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that since taking office, the country has not transferred weapons to Russia.
