Iryna Deryuhina on Divorce from Blokhin: What She Regrets After 35 Years.
Iryna Deryuhina's Reflections on Divorce
According to Novyny.live: Iryna Deryuhina, a rhythmic gymnastics coach and head of the Gymnastics Federation of Ukraine, shared her thoughts on her divorce from former football player Oleg Blokhin, with whom she was married for nine years until 1989. This divorce marked an important stage in both of their lives, and Deryuhina still feels a certain regret over the end of their relationship.
Deryuhina stated that she regrets the divorce, pointing to possible reasons that led to this decision. She expressed the opinion that perhaps she lacked patience and mutual understanding in the relationship.
“I regretted it, yes, I regretted it. Perhaps, I lacked a bit of patience, maybe I lacked a bit of brains. In a family, you need to give something to one another. It can't be one-sided. I also needed to receive something in return, do you understand? But that didn’t work for me,”- she commented.
Impact of Divorce on Life
During their nine years of marriage, Deryuhina and Blokhin raised a daughter, Iryna Blokhina. The divorce that took place in 1989 became an important moment in their lives, and, as evident from Deryuhina's comments, left a mark in her memory. This indicates that relationships, even when they end, can leave deep emotional impressions.
Iryna Deryuhina's statements about her past relationship with Oleg Blokhin highlight the complexity of emotions associated with divorces. Such personal experiences often affect further life and relationships, as they shape notions of love, support, and compromise. Analyzing their marriage, one can conclude that not only love but also mutual understanding and support are key factors in maintaining relationships. Deryuhina's situation might serve as a lesson for others who are going through similar stages in life.
