Change of ranking system in darts
Michael van Gerwen has approached officials with a request to change the PDC Order of Merit ranking system. It is necessary to find a fairer approach to ranking.”He believes that a new player ranking approach will help increase competition in the world of darts and stimulate more interesting games.
Requirements for the system
Van Gerwen proposes several changes that could improve the system:- Taking into account not only prize money but also other indicators, such as performance consistency.
- Introducing new assessment methods that will allow for more accurate reflection of players' real achievements.
