Potatoes in Ukraine continue to break price records: how prices have changed.
Ukraine is facing rising prices for potatoes.

Potato prices continue to increase. Since the beginning of October, the cost of a kilogram of potatoes has risen from 15-20 hryvnias to 17-22 hryvnias.
The demand from wholesale buyers who purchase potatoes for storage is one of the main reasons for the price hike. Also, bad weather in some regions caused problems with the harvest, which also affected potato prices.
Carrot prices have also risen. However, the demand for cabbage forced sellers to reduce prices. An increase in the supply of medium and low-quality onions also led to a decrease in their prices.
Various trends are observed in the vegetable and fruit market:
Vegetables
Prices for greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes continue to rise, with tomatoes reaching record prices.
However, prices for sweet peppers have slightly decreased.
Fruits and berries
- Most prices have remained unchanged, but there are a few exceptions.
- Prices for pears and grapes continue to rise.
- Plums have also increased in price.
- But watermelons have become slightly cheaper.
- Prices for melons have become more varied.
It was previously reported that prices for the borscht set in Ukraine will increase.
