Carragher and CBS colleagues honored Kate Scott for her sensational appearance at the Ballon d'Or.
According to The Sun: James Carragher and his CBS Sports colleagues congratulated Kate Scott, who walked the red carpet at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in a stunning dress.
Carragher, Thierry Henry, and Micah Richards returned to commentary duties during the Champions League broadcast on Tuesday.
GettyDuring one of the pre-match segments, Carragher emphasized:
“I think the next round of applause should go to someone else at this table who has been traveling lately.”
He directed his comments towards Scott, 44, adding:
“You have been traveling, haven’t you, over the last week?”
The three commentators immediately gasped when clips were shown of Scott stunning everyone in a silver dress, alongside her husband, boxing coach Malik Scott, during the glamorous ceremony in Paris.
Richards let out a childlike, high-pitched scream when the couple kissed in front of the cameras.
There is some tension between Carragher and Malik over an awkward comment made by the commentator on-air last year.
When Scott declared that she is “loyal” to Manchester United, Carragher responded:
“Not to Malik.”
Since then, Carragher and Scott's husband have reconciled, although, according to Malik, the situation could have been tense without an apology.
He noted:
“The fact that Kate was a bit annoyed genuinely upset me.”

Carragher apologized, and Scott remarked:
“You can’t help but respect someone who acknowledges their mistakes. In this regard, I hold him in high regard.”id='6379937898112' data-video-id='6379937898112' data-account='5067014667001' data-player='default' data-usage='cms:WordPress:6.5.7:2.8.6:javascript' data-embed='default' class='video-js' data-application-id='' controls style='width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0;'>
CBS host Scott was part of the team that awarded this year's Ballon d'Or trophy to the first winner, Ousmane Dembélé.
Despite Lamine Yamal's rapid rise, Henry believes the award went to the right person.
He emphasized:
“The way he dribbles, he can play on the left, right, or center. The season he had is beyond question.”
