According to The Sun: Katherine Ryan has revealed the real reason she’s sending her four-year-old to school for just three days a week.

The Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan explained why she is sending her four-year-old son to school only three days a week.

The star has collaborated with her child's educational institution to arrange such a learning schedule due to significant changes in her family’s life.

Katherine's Family Situation

In June, it became known that 42-year-old Katherine is expecting her fourth child. The comedian has two children with her husband Bobby - a son named Fred and a two-year-old daughter named Fenna, as well as 16-year-old Violet from a previous marriage. While Violet will be starting high school, Fenna attends a nursery located half an hour away from her brother.

Speaking about Fred's 'very attached' demeanor, Katherine noted how the young boy will 'adapt' to a full school week. She said: 'Fred starts first grade, it was a bit contradictory for her since he is a young four-year-old boy, and I'm somewhat Scandinavian in my beliefs about institutionalizing very young children. He is very expressive and smart, but also very closely attached to us, so they have been very nice about it. They will allow him to go to first grade three days a week for some time and gradually increase to five, so we’ll see how Fred reacts to it.'

Katherine's Future Plans

The star of '8 Out of 10 Cats' added to The Standard about her new baby: 'I believe this will be my last child… Then next year I will become fiery. I have taken on Botox, maybe I will even do a facelift.' Last month Katherine showcased her growing belly at the premiere of the film 'Freaky Friday.'

Diagnosis of Cancer

Meanwhile, the joyful news about the addition came just a few months after Katherine’s diagnosis of skin cancer. In March, the comedian posted a photo of her hand with a bandage covering part after having undergone another operation just a week prior. Katherine captioned the photo: 'Done', with a green check mark and a red heart. The television star removed a mole privately, but after the detection of cancer cells, she had to undergo another procedure. Later, she spoke about melanoma in the latest episode of her podcast 'Everybody and Everybody'. This is the second time Katherine has received such a diagnosis, the first being at the age of 21 in 2004.

Popular comedian Katherine Ryan revealed the reason for sending her son to school three days a week, pointing to the child's attachment and her personal views on teaching young children. She also shared her thoughts on her last child and her battle with skin cancer, providing a lively and candid glimpse into her life.
