Medical Progress and Changes in JJ Slater's Life

According to The Sun: Katie Price's lover, JJ Slater, spoke about plans for personal cosmetic surgery in Turkey, but was banned from the procedure for medical reasons.

JJ, who is 32, couldn't undergo the procedure due to type 1 diabetes. In a conversation with Casino.org, he shared his experience:

“I came to Turkey to remove bags under my eyes, but I couldn't do it. I was already in a hospital gown and knee-high socks, ready for surgery. But my blood sugar levels turned out to be elevated. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes after the show. So, yes, there was something in my blood that didn't suit them, which is why the procedure was not performed. The recovery was free since nothing happened.”

Changes in JJ's Life After Diagnosis

JJ also talked about how the diagnosis affected his life:

“This is one of the most significant changes that have occurred since the show: the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. It is an autoimmune disease, so I have done a lot of research on it. One potential trigger may be stress – although it hasn't been scientifically proven, it makes you think about the atmosphere at that time. I never had problems before, but suddenly I was very ill for two months. I just ignored it, thinking it would pass. When I really got sick, my dad said I needed to go to the hospital.”

He also confessed that he lost nearly two stones in weight and experienced other symptoms:

“It's a bit gross, but I also noticed that I had blood in my urine. That was the biggest trigger for me – I realized I had to check my health.”

After that, JJ became more careful about his diet and health. He and Katie began to communicate after she expressed support for his diagnosis.

Recently, Katie revealed that JJ had a 'hair transplant' in Turkey and posted a video of the process on Snapchat.

Katie talked on the podcast about why she split from Peter Andre. However, when the host pointed out that she should be 'happy' in her relationships, she made a surprising confession:

“I have never felt this in any relationship. And JJ, he is the most beautiful, genuine, calm man. But do I feel happiness and freedom? No. It's not his fault; maybe I need to change something in myself.”
