Planting Strawberries in Autumn 2025: When and How to Plant for a Rich Harvest.

Experienced gardeners recommend planting strawberries in the autumn since this time of year provides ideal conditions for the plants to adapt before winter. The optimal time for planting is from late August to mid-September. In the southern regions of Ukraine, planting can continue until October, but it all depends on weather conditions and soil state.

Soil and Seedling Preparation Before planting, choose a sunny spot with light or medium soil at an optimal acidity level. A week or two before planting, loosen the soil, add fertilizers and manure. The seedlings themselves require preparation and watering before planting.
