Latvia imposes entry ban on actor Priluchny and TV presenter Andreeva

The Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to close its borders to Ukrainian actor Pavlo Priluchny and TV presenter Kateryna Andreeva due to their support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The reason for this decision was the Kremlin's attempts to use cultural figures to spread propaganda, especially in former Soviet countries.

«The Kremlin actively uses culture to spread its propaganda on a global scale, especially in former Soviet countries. After the onset of the full-scale invasion, various countries are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of such Russian propaganda», - reported the Center for Countering Disinformation.

Similar restrictions have been imposed in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to combat Russian propaganda. In Ukraine, Russian TV presenter Azamat Tahirovich Musagaliev has been included in the list of individuals posing a threat to national security. This decision was made after an analysis by the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting and media and social network monitoring.

Measures against the spread of Russian propaganda in former USSR countries

Ukraine, Latvia, and other former Soviet countries are actively fighting against the spread of Russian propaganda by closing their borders to propagandists and individuals who support Russian aggression in the region.
