According to The Sun: Rachael Blackmore, the legendary jockey, is returning to the world of horse racing this weekend, but in a new role at the Cheltenham racecourse. This outstanding winner of the Gold Cup, who announced her retirement in May this year, has become the head of Women’s Day at the Festival.
Blackmore will now serve as an ambassador at her home jumps racecourse.
“This new role for me is a wonderful opportunity to stay in the racing world which I love so much,” said Blackmore.
Her plans include promoting women’s racing and collaborating with young athletes, helping girls take their first step into the world of equestrian sports.
The return of Rachael Blackmore to the racecourse in a new capacity is an important event for the world of horse racing. Her experience and professionalism will serve as an excellent example for new generations of jockeys and will also increase attention to women's sports in Ukraine and beyond.
