Lewis Hamilton criticized the secrecy of Formula 1 stewards.
Penalty for Lewis Hamilton
According to The Sun: Lewis Hamilton expressed dissatisfaction regarding the "mystery" of Formula 1 judges after receiving a serious penalty in Mexico. The seven-time world champion was penalized with a ten-second time penalty for "leaving the track and gaining a lasting advantage" during a fierce battle with his long-time rival Max Verstappen.
"I don't quite understand why this happened. I try to follow the rules, but sometimes it seems unfair,"Hamilton noted.
After this incident, he questioned the transparency of the judging system and their decisions. The athlete believes that more transparency is needed in the rules and decisions to avoid such situations in the future.
This question of transparency in judging remains relevant for Formula 1, as the decisions made on the track can significantly impact the race results and the championship overall. Hamilton, being one of the most decorated drivers in history, raises an important issue that concerns not only him but all participants in the competition.
