According to The Sun: Liam Gallagher, the star of OASIS, may face significant financial obligations following a recent court settlement regarding the maintenance of his illegitimate child.

Journalist Liza Horbani has filed a lawsuit in an American court against the 52-year-old rocker, which could cost him £500,000 annually for the upkeep of their 12-year-old daughter, Gemma.

A legal request was submitted last week, according to American legal experts, indicating a preliminary decision has already been made regarding the amount of child support.

However, experts warn that this could just be a temporary resolution until a final agreement is reached.

The Sun on Sunday reported that Liza Horbani is seeking a substantial increase in annual payments for Gemma, who has autism and special educational needs.

Liam's lawyers accused Ms. Horbani of trying to take advantage of the profits from the OASIS tour, which amounts to £50 million.

A source close to Liam told The Sun on Sunday: “He believes he is already providing Liza with generous support and finds this lawsuit somewhat brazen.”

“Those around him believe that Liza is just trying to exploit the situation.”

Legal Aspects and Financial Consequences

James Sexton, a New York attorney not involved in the case, noted that Liam may be obliged to pay child support until Gemma turns 26, raising the total amount to £7 million.

He commented: “Liam is out of luck, as the law has changed since 2021, extending the child support payment term from 21 to 26 years.”

“Liza will need to prove that Gemma is so incapable that she cannot support herself.”

It is also possible that any legal agreement could be upheld for life due to her special needs.

Liam has met all court requirements.

In June, the New York Supreme Court heard the case and found that he has paid over £750,000 since 2015.

His lawyers stated that he agreed to pay an additional £180,000 for school and autism-related expenses.

However, Liza is now demanding £510,000 annually to cover the costs of raising the child. She and Gemma live in a Manhattan apartment costing £3,300 per month.

New financial demands include £22,500 per month for a house with a pool, £75,000 per year for a full-time nanny, and £5,000 for recreational expenses.

Liam, reportedly, had an affair with Liza shortly after she interviewed him.
