Diagnosis and health condition

The guitarist shared that the first alarming signal was 'severe pain' in his back and shoulders that became 'unbearable'.

In June, during an examination, he was diagnosed with myeloma, an incurable blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow.

The star, known to fans as Chrissy Boy, noted that doctors discovered a tumor on his spine. He recounted:

“At the beginning of the year, I experienced severe pain in my back and shoulders. On June 28, we performed in France, and the pain became unbearable. In early July, I had an MRI, and then they discovered a tumor on my spine. On July 4, I was admitted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, where I underwent a series of tests.”

After that, he received radiation therapy, which helped reduce the pain, and also underwent a spinal tap. Chris admitted that his kidneys were functioning at only 14%, but the situation has since improved.

Despite the tough diagnosis, he expressed optimism:

“My case is a form of cancer called myeloma. It is treatable but not curable. When I achieve remission, I will be able to return to normal life.”

The musician hopes to return to the stage next year, thanking his team and family for their support.

Healthy lifestyle

Chris has also started to adopt a healthier lifestyle, giving up alcohol in favor of non-alcoholic drinks.

He added:

“Some people have been living with this for 20 years or more. I still have a long way to go before I return to the stage, but I plan to be there next year. The band, my family, and my team have been very supportive.”

Fans of the band are also actively supporting Chris. One of them wrote:

“I have myeloma, and although I have gone through many 'trials'... I am in remission and still taking pills! Stay strong, we are many to reach out if you want to talk!”
