Malinovskyi underwent surgery after a serious injury: details.
Ukrainian footballer Ruslan Malinovskyi, who plays for the team "Genoa", underwent a successful surgery. He sustained a serious injury in the match against "Venezia". Information about this was published on the "grifoni" Instagram page. Now the player will begin rehabilitation.
The official statement of the team says: "This morning, Ruslan Malinovskyi underwent surgery on his right ankle. The operation was performed by Professor Santolini and his team and was successful. The player is feeling well and in the coming days will begin rehabilitation at the club".
Earlier it was reported that Malinovskyi had a dislocation of the ankle joint and a fracture of the fibula. The recovery time is not yet known.
This season, Malinovskyi has already played five matches for "Genoa", but has not scored any goals yet.
The match between "Venezia" and "Genoa" ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the hosts. Currently, Malinovskyi's team is in 13th place in the Serie A standings with 5 points.
The next match "grifoni" will play against "Sampdoria" in the Italian Cup on September 25. In the Italian championship, they will meet with "Juventus" on September 28.
