Margot Robbie's New Film Fails at the Box Office: How Much It Made Over the Weekend.
According to The Sun: The film 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell has flopped at the box office, earning only £532,000 in the UK over its opening weekend, having spent £33 million on production.
The romantic comedy received mixed reviews from critics and did not make it into the top 5 most-watched films.

Despite the massive attention toward Margot, who dazzled everyone at the premiere in her stunning outfit, the film still failed to surpass 'Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale,' which earned £2.3 million in its second weekend. 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' brought in an average of only £820 per cinema where it was shown.
This film is Margot's first after the successful 'Barbie,' which made £18.5 million in its opening weekend.
Plot of the Film
In the film, Margot and Colin play strangers who meet at a wedding and, with the help of a magical GPS in a rental car, try to dive into their personal dramas and ultimately find love.
They visited London earlier this month to walk the red carpet at the premiere. However, Margot admitted that she still hasn't seen the film because she decided to go to karaoke with friends.
“I was at the premiere but didn't watch. I met up with friends afterward. We did karaoke until 1 a.m. in Chinatown,”
she added.
“I sang Celine Dion songs until the morning. We performed the whole Titanic. You cannot go to karaoke and not sing Celine.”
Upcoming Projects
In her next film, Margot will star in an erotic remake of 'Wuthering Heights' alongside Jacob Elordi, known for his roles in 'Euphoria' and 'Saltburn.' In the film, written and directed by Emerald Fennell, Margot will play Catherine Earnshaw. Actor Owen Cooper, 15, will portray young Heathcliff.
The trailer for the new film was released two weeks ago and has already garnered 11 million views on YouTube ahead of its release on February 13 next year.

‘Barbie’, starring Margot and Ryan Gosling, made £18.5 million in its opening weekend.

The failure of 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' indicates that even star actors cannot always guarantee a film's success. This highlights the importance of not only the cast but also the plot and marketing campaign, which are key factors for successful box office performance. While Margot Robbie continues to actively work in the industry, her new projects are on viewers' radar in hopes of a better outcome in the future.
