According to ТСН: The Ukrainian singer MELOVIN openly expressed his opinion on the statements made by Djamala, who was dissatisfied with his decision not to participate in the national selection for 'Eurovision 2026'.

Djamala, who acted as a producer for the national selection this year, previously confessed that she felt hurt by MELOVIN. She noted that he initially applied and made it to the longlist but later withdrew his participation to give younger artists a chance. However, Djamala viewed the situation differently.

The singer stated that she personally called MELOVIN, but he declined and explained his decision with a scheduled concert. She admitted that she perceived this response as irresponsible and wrote to him that she was 'hurt'.

This moment was published by MELOVIN in his photo blog, after which he publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the tone in which Djamala commented on the situation. In an Instagram story, the singer could not hold back his emotions and responded decisively to Djamala's words.

“'Concert or whatever, la-la-la'. Djamala, this is super toxic and arrogant. I don’t understand you anymore,” the artist wrote.

MELOVIN also explained his decision in a personal address to his followers. He emphasized that a cancellation is not an expression of weakness but a conscious choice, especially regarding mental health.

“I wish each of you to never be afraid to say 'no' when you have changed your mind. If you have realized that you are not in the right mental state. It is not shameful to say 'no'. 'Eurovision' is not something that affects your life,” MELOVIN emphasized.

Meanwhile, it should be mentioned that the singer's producer Olya Polyakova recently accused Djamala of lying. Despite rule violations by Polyakova in the national selection, Mikhail Yasinjski began to defend her rights in a crude manner.

This situation underscores the tensions in the music scene and the relationships of artists with each other under competitive conditions. Such conflicts can affect the reputation of the artists in the future, so it will be interesting to observe how events unfold and whether the relationship between these artists changes.
