Delay Due to Strike: Post Malone Concerts in London Rescheduled.
Post Malone Concerts Canceled Due to Strikes in London
According to The Sun: Rapper Post Malone has postponed his concerts in the UK due to strikes in the London underground planned for next week.
The ticket sales platform Live Nation announced that two performances scheduled to take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London cannot go ahead as it will be "impossible" to get fans to the event without the subway.
GettyBoth concerts, originally set for Sunday and Monday, have been postponed for almost two weeks.
The first concert, originally scheduled for this Sunday, will now take place on Saturday, September 20.
The second performance, originally planned for Monday, will be held 13 days later, on Sunday, September 21.
Fans have been informed that their tickets will remain valid, and if they cannot attend the new date, they should contact the point of purchase by 10:00 AM on Monday, September 8, for a refund.
The rapper, who has released his latest album, is currently performing in Hanover, Germany, and will then head to the Netherlands, followed by Barcelona, Spain, and Lisbon, Portugal.
“We regret to inform you that due to the scheduled strikes on the London underground, two Post Malone concerts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium cannot take place this Sunday and Monday. “Without the subway, it is impossible to get people to the concert and safely return them home, so a license for events on the 7th and 8th of September cannot be granted.”
This decision comes just a few days after the band Coldplay also canceled their concerts at Wembley due to strikes, leading to confusion for many fans regarding canceled flight reservations and hotel bookings.
The strikes on the underground will start on Sunday, September 7, with expected disruptions and a limited schedule. From September 8 to 11, "serious disruptions" are anticipated, with "almost no service," Transport for London (TfL) reports.
Additionally, there will be no DLR service on September 9 and 11.
