National Film Critics' Award "Kinokolo" Announced 2024 Nominees.
The Seventh National Film Critics' Award "Kinokolo" has announced the contenders for the 2024 award.
The highest number of nominations - five - was received by Zhanna Ozіrna's film "Honeymoon".
Four nominations were received by Roman Bondarchuk's film "Editorial Office" and Dmytro Moiseyev's "Grey Bees" (based on the novel by writer Andriy Kurkov).
This year, awards will be given in 11 categories: for the first Time, the best feature-length and short documentary films will be selected in two separate categories.
Among the nominees in the "Best Documentary Feature" category is a project created by the order of Suspilne - "Sentimental Journey to Parajanov's Planet" directed by Taras Tomenko.
In previous years, the best films were "La Palisiada" by Filip Sotnychenko, which is being submitted by Ukraine for "Oscar-2025", "Pamfir" by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk, "Stop-Zemlia" by Kateryna Gornostai, "Atlantis" by Valentyn Vasyanovych, and "Homeward" by Nariman Aliev.
The winners will be announced on the opening day of the "Kyiv Critics' Week" festival - October 17, 2024.
For the third time, the award ceremony will be broadcast on the "Suspilne Culture" TV channel. The host of the ceremony will be Lyudmyla Chyrkova.
