Therapeutic horse from Germany sets world record: its height is only 52.6 cm.
According to ТСН: In Germany, there lives a therapeutic horse named Pumukel, which has become the shortest in the world. Its height is only 52.6 cm.
This information has been confirmed by the Guinness World Records.
Karola Weidemann, its owner, shared that she purchased Pumukel in 2020 when it was only 5 months old and its height was 47 cm.
“I approached, looked at him, and was truly, completely shocked. I had never seen such a small, tiny horse before,” she shares.
Pumukel's height has been confirmed by the Guinness World Records – 52.6 cm at the withers, making him the shortest male horse in the world. He is 4 cm shorter than the previous record holder.
Pumukel is undergoing training as a therapeutic horse and regularly visits nursing homes, hospices, schools, and institutions for people with disabilities.
“He has a very sweet character,” says Weidemann. “He gets along incredibly well with children, loves being petted and hugged. Pumukel enjoys being the center of attention.”
