The exemption for military conscripts is coming to an end

On February 28, the exemption will end for all military conscripts across the country. If an enterprise loses its critical status or does not meet its criteria, the exempted employees of that enterprise also lose their exemption. This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence Oleksandr Fedienko.

«Given that such military conscripts are all on the record, TCK has the full right to mobilize such conscripts. Everything is within the law», – he says.

As the MP noted, the heads of the territorial recruitment centers and social support are meeting with defense enterprises, communication, and energy companies, allowing Time for the re-registration of employees.

«The mobilization task (MT) for reservist employees usually concerns the agro-industrial sector, for the production of nomenclature, understanding the production volumes of the necessary products for the military. The MT should be established considering the capabilities of the enterprises, meaning it should be such that the enterprise can fulfill it», – explained Fedienko.

The parliamentarian emphasizes that the regional military administration establishes the mobilization task taking into account the needs of the Ministry of Defense and the capabilities of the enterprise. According to Fedienko, during the recent inspections by the RMA of the compliance of such enterprises regarding capacity, some of them lost their MT. At the same time, employees at that time remained exempt.

The MP reminded that the exemption for an employee is established by the Ministry of Economy. And even if an enterprise temporarily loses its mobilization task, the employee's exemption remains valid.

«Unfortunately, it is increasingly difficult to find a balance between forming exempt employees for critically important enterprises and mobilizing and replenishing personnel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, after February 28, a certain percentage of military conscripts who were exempt will be mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. Perhaps it is worth considering joining an appropriate military unit through the recruitment mechanism now, the current legislation allows this», – he emphasized.

Let us remind you that the people's deputy, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence Oleksandr Fedienko reported that in the Mykolaiv region a worker of a critically important enterprise was mobilized, supposedly annulling the deferment from conscription. According to him, employees of the TCK can mobilize exempt employees, annulling their provided deferments, making it difficult for a person to demobilize later.

In the document published by the MP from the Tyachiv TCK and SP, it is stated that as of November 18, during the verification of military registration data, there was no information about the citizen being on special military registration through exemption. Later, the head of the TCK summoned the soldier for military service during the general mobilization.

However, it later became known that the employees of the TCK and SP cannot annul the exemption from mobilization for military conscripts working at critically important enterprises.
