Career of Lourdes Leon
According to The Sun: Lourdes Leon, the elder daughter of Madonna, carries a great burden, but during her recent concert in South London with tickets at £7.50 no one could suspect her of relying on her mother's fame.
Howell DaviesLourdes, performing under the name Lolahol, sang her songs in the dimness of Ormside Projects. Although her mother was not at the concert, her brother Rocco was wholeheartedly cheering her on from the audience, with a beer in hand.
Lourdes took the stage 20 minutes late, but her calm alternative melodies elicited a positive response from the audience. Some songs echoed hits from the nineties, while others reminded of modern artists.
“I feel there are enough representatives of the LGBTQ community in the audience to know who this is,”Lourdes laughed as she performed a cover of 'The Boy Next Door' by Judy Garland.
She also confessed that she secretly wrote one of her mother's songs. Madonna released the track 'It's So Cool' in 2009. Before performing, Lourdes noted: “I wrote this song when I was about eight. That's why it sounds like something a rubber band would write.”
Despite her mother's fortune of £850 million, Lourdes proved that she is capable of achieving success on her own.
