On the night of October 19, Russian occupiers carried out an airstrike on Ukraine using guided missiles, Shahed-type strike drones, and unidentified drones. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«The Radio Engineering Troops of the Air Force have detected and tracked over 100 air targets: up to 98 enemy drones and six guided missiles X-59/69», the statement says.

The Air Force reports that during the air battle, four guided aviation missiles X-59/69 were shot down.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also successfully destroyed 42 enemy drones in the Odessa, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. Information about 46 Russian drones lost locally is still being clarified and updated.

Recall that on the night of October 19, the Russians carried out an airstrike on the Shostkinska community of the Sumy region using guided aerial bombs and Shahed drones. This shelling resulted in seven people being injured and damage to energy infrastructure facilities. This was reported by the Sumy Military District Organization.

Also today, the Russians launched a missile and drone attack on Cherkasy region, resulting in the death of a woman.

Additionally, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle injured a woman in one of the city's districts: «In the Darnytskyi district of the capital during the enemy attack, one woman was injured. She was hospitalized and is in the operating room. A fragment of the drone flew through the balcony window and hit her premises».

It later became known that facades of several buildings in the Darnytskyi district were damaged, balconies were shattered, and vehicles and one restaurant were damaged as well.
