Pokrovsk: ISW analysts have predicted the plans of the occupiers.
Russian troops are intensifying their attack east of Pokrovsk
According to a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian invaders recently collapsed to the northeast of Pokrovsk and may be attempting to continue their aggression towards Dobropillia, bypassing Ukrainian defensive lines in the Donetsk region.
According to geolocated videos from ISW, Russian troops have captured Koptieve and Shevchenko Pershe and advanced towards the southeastern Razine, located northeast of Pokrovsk. Analysts believe that further Russian advancement towards Dobropillia would indicate a tactical priority of Russian forces towards advancing westward from Ukrainian defensive positions.
Russian troops continue to intensify their pressure east of Pokrovsk and may attempt to bypass Ukrainian defensive positions in the Donetsk region in order to advance further west towards the city of Dobropillia. This indicates a deterioration of the situation in eastern Ukraine and the necessity for a Ukrainian military response to protect the territorial integrity of the country.
The ISW report has confirmed the deepening of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine and the necessity for a response to ensure security in the region.
