Netherlands to Increase Defense Support for Ukraine: What We Know.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldcamp met in Kyiv to discuss several issues. One of them is strengthening defense support and increasing the cost of war for Russia. At the joint press conference, Andriy Sybiha stated: 'We share the approach of 'peace through strength,' which will restore a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace.' He also expressed gratitude for the Netherlands' support of the Ukrainian army and thanked for the transfer of radar, Patriot launchers, F-16s, and missiles. The scaling up of investments in Ukrainian arms production was also discussed as an effective way to strengthen Ukraine. Attention was also paid to achieving peace, advancing Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO, restoring energy, and increasing sanctions pressure on Russia. The meeting also focused on launching a compensation mechanism for the Register of Damages and its funding through confiscated Russian assets.
