The story of the film tells about William Miller, a teenage reporter who writes for Rolling Stone.

After 25 years, Patrick Fugit looks completely different – with shorter hair and a beard.

The 42-year-old actor was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for his role as William.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Patrick shared his memories of his 'great crush' on co-star Kate Hudson, who played Penny Lane.

“I auditioned with Kate Hudson, she was very magnetic and captivating. I was 16. I thought: 'Yes, I would be happy to shoot with her.'”

He added: “It was seven months of my life. I fell in love with Kate Hudson, but that feeling somewhat faded. It was an important phase in a teenager's life.”

Later, Patrick starred in films 'Gone Girl', 'First Man', and 'We Bought A Zoo', the last of which reunited him with 'Almost Famous' director Cameron Crowe.

Kate also received an Oscar nomination for her role as Penny in 'Almost Famous'. In the film, Rolling Stone hires William to write a profile about a fictional rock band, Stillwater, without even realizing he is just a teenager.

The film also featured Billy Crudup, Jason Lee, John Fedovich, and Mark Kozelek.

This year, Kate found herself in an awkward wardrobe situation during the premiere event for 'Running Point'.

The charming actress wore a black dress with a deep neckline that seemed to lack a bra.

When the film just started, Kate nearly had an embarrassing moment with her dress – she realized it was starting to fall down.

Kate, covering her chest with her hands, quickly pulled up her dress, and Justin rushed to help her.

He greeted the audience and smiled despite the situation, helping Kate with her outfit.

Brenda also got up to help, accordingly covering the view from the front.

Thus, Patrick Fugit's memories of working with Kate Hudson reflect not only his teenage experiences but also the history behind the creation of the iconic film. Despite the comedic moments that occurred at the event, the actors remain closely connected to their memorable moments from the past.

These memories highlight how significant this work was for many actors, as well as their relationships, which remain relevant even many years after the film's release.
