On Tuesday, August 5, a significant event for the Ukrainian film industry took place at the KVC 'Parkovyi': an exclusive meeting with the media and representatives of the authorities to present initiatives and examples of contemporary national films and series that are in production with the support of the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema.

'Cinema Unites' Presented in Kyiv

The event, called 'Cinema Unites', organized by the film industry with the support of Derzhkino, gathered journalists, opinion leaders, and government officials in the capital. This event became the first public platform for the new head of Derzhkino, Andrii Osipov, to speak publicly.

'Ukrainian cinema is about content, the economy, and the future. We have a powerful tool in our hands — stories that can shape society, influence consciousness, and communicate with the world in the language of national ideas. Our goal is to create conditions under which talented teams receive not only support but also confidence that their work makes sense and will be seen. Cinema should unite the country, and we are already working on this today.'
— emphasized Osipov.

Against the backdrop of the quoted words, the main idea of the event was heard: contemporary Ukrainian cinema is not just a product, but also a space for co-creation that unites people, meanings, and time. This film space is unique, developing through the interaction of many factors, from cinemas and television to art and the economy, and requires systematic support for further growth.

At the event, leaders of the film industry, officials, and creative teams of projects spoke among themselves, including the head of Derzhkino Andrii Osipov, a representative of the Verkhovna Rada Committee Pavlo Sushko, Olena Koval’ska from the President's Office, Olha Panteleimonova from the film company UPHub, and Halyna Hryhorenko from the Ministry of Culture.

The event 'Cinema Unites' became an important step for the Ukrainian film industry, demonstrating not only the significance of the modern film space but also the need for its support and development both within and beyond the country.
