New Year Trees in Ukraine: How Much Will the Trees Cost This Year.

According to ТСН: The prices for New Year trees this year will range between 350 and 4000 Hryvnias. The first sales points will open on December 3.

The deputy director of the communal enterprise 'Switytsch', responsible for organizing holiday markets, provided this information.

“According to preliminary information, the price will range from 350 Hryvnias for a pine to 3-4 thousand for imported trees, mostly firs,” the specialist said.

Sales Features

Salespeople generally set prices based on various characteristics of the trees and not just their height. For example, a fir or pine may be tall but not very attractive, which is why demand for them will be low.

“There are quite small, 1.2-1.5 meters, very fluffy, beautiful ones with large needles. Such will of course be more expensive,” Lebedko said.

Prices Compared to Last Year

In general, according to the specialist, prices for trees this year will not change significantly compared to last year.

“So far, there are no price lists for needle compositions. Looking at last year, they ranged from 200-250 Hryvnias to 1500. Those are last year's prices — I don't believe they will change this year,” he added.

Thus, Ukrainians can expect similar price categories as in previous years. This gives hope for stability in the selection of New Year trees for festive decoration.
