Odesa Film Festival announced the winners: the main prize went to the film You Are the Universe.

According to inkorr.com: On October 3, the final ceremony of the 16th Odesa International Film Festival took place in Kyiv, which lasted from September 24 to October 4 and presented 113 films. During the closing event, the winners of two competitive programs and the industry section were announced. This information appeared on the OIFF website based on materials from 'Glavcom'.

Festival Winners

The grand prize - 'Grand Prix', was awarded to the Ukrainian film 'You Are the Universe' directed by Pavlo Ostrikov. This film also received a Special Diploma from the International Jury.

Within the European competitive program, the best European film was recognized as 'Six Days in Spring' by director Joaquim Lafosse.

Ukrainian Section

In the Ukrainian section, the following films received awards:

• The best Ukrainian documentary film was 'Simple Soldier' by Artem Ryzhikov and Juan Camilo Cruz.
• 'Simple Soldier' was awarded a diploma from the International Federation of Film Critics, while the films 'Dad’s Lullaby' and 'The Music of Being' received special diplomas.

Winners in the industry section Film Industry Office were also recognized, where the films 'Every Death Reduces Me' and 'Session with a Psychologist' received awards.

The closing of the 16th Odesa Film Festival was successful for the Ukrainian film 'You Are the Universe' and several other films by Ukrainian directors in different nominations. The festival concluded on a high note, attracting attention to the art of cinema both in Ukraine and beyond.
