Oksana Bilozir claims unfair distribution of Igor Bilozir's inheritance: her son was deprived.
According to ТСН: Ukrainian singer Oksana Bilozir expressed her outrage regarding the distribution of the inheritance of her late husband, composer Igor Bilozir, with whom she has a son.
Igor Bilozir tragically died in May 2000 as a result of brutal beating. He left behind a son Andrii, and he was married to his second wife. In a conversation with Dmytro Gordon, Oksana noted that there was no will, so the inheritance was divided among the son, the second wife, and the mother of the composer. The singer believes that such distribution is unfair, as her son was deprived.
'The inheritance was divided incorrectly because there was no will. I just didn’t want to deal with this. When there is no will – the interests of his only son were not taken into account. He had no other children with that wife. So they nicely divided everything among themselves, depriving my child, his only heir,' the performer says.
Oksana Bilozir intends to appeal the decision on the distribution of the inheritance to put everything in its place. She is confident that the property and rights should go to her son, as Andrii is the only heir.
'This infuriated me. I don’t forgive such things. Now I want to sort everything out. I want to review the decision on the distribution of the inheritance, as his mother is already gone. You know, if a niece has some rights, and my child has less, that is wrong. I want everything to be fair. My son should have rights to everything his dad left because he would definitely do this for him, not for others,' emphasized the singer.
After Igor Bilozir's death, his inheritance was divided among the son, the second wife, and the mother, which concerned both property and creative works. The second wife eventually donated her share of the creative rights to the composer's biological sister, and his mother transferred the inherited copyrights to her granddaughter.
It is worth noting that earlier, Oksana Bilozir also revealed the reason for her divorce from her husband Roman Nedzelsky, with whom she was married for 33 years.
This situation highlights the complexity and sometimes painful nature of inheritance processes, where children's interests can often be overlooked. Oksana Bilozir seeks justice for her son Andrii in this difficult matter, which certainly emphasizes the importance of proper allocation of already lost family wealth.
