Tragedy in Poltava: nine-year-old Sofia Yavorska and her parents are dead
Yesterday, February 1, as a result of a missile strike by the occupants on a multi-story building in Poltava, nine-year-old Sofia Yavorska and her parents died, reports the library branch 6 of the Central Library of Poltava MTG.
This tragedy occurred in their apartment, where the girl was with her parents. Despite the persistent efforts of the medics, they were unfortunately unable to save their lives.
«Our regular reader Sofia Yavorska—a young girl who sincerely loved books and always came to the library with a curious look and an open heart—died as a result of the Russian attack on Poltava. She was a talented, kind, bright girl who inspired us with her thirst for knowledge and dreams of the future. We cannot find the words to describe the pain that has engulfed us. We express our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and her loved ones. Eternal and bright memory to you, our angel! You will forever remain in our hearts!», the library's message reads.
In mourning for the victims of the Russian attack, a three-day mourning period has been declared in the Poltava region from February 2 to 4.
In total, as a result of yesterday's missile attack in Poltava, 14 people have already died, including two children.
In addition to Poltava, during the air raid alert, the occupants also attacked Kharkiv region. Some buildings in Kharkiv were damaged.
Even the energy system in Poltava region became an object of enemy attacks.
This conflict has lasted for 1075 days and has brought much suffering to the people.
